Dr. Craig A. Mabrito

Dr. Craig Mabrito practices comprehensive dentistry with special interests in cosmetic procedures, implant restorations, and full mouth reconstruction. Since the start of his private Houston practice in 1977, Dr. Mabrito’s philosophy has been to stay current with all innovations in the cosmetic dentistry field, focusing on his specific areas of expertise, to improve the health and well-being of patients. This philosophy has helped him become a master artist of cosmetic dentistry with the talent of effectively blending the aspects of functionality, technology, aesthetics, and health.

Developing relationships with each patient remains an important goal for Dr. Mabrito. Our dentist strives to understand each patient’s goals with regards to their health, provide all of the alternatives to achieve those goals, act as their advocate to help them make the best decision, then execute the plan with the highest level of skill, care, and judgment every day that he treats patients.

Innovator & Pioneer

Dr. Mabrito is known as an innovator in cosmetic dentistry due to his mastery of several procedures and techniques well before they were common practice. Dr. Mabrito developed the concept of in-office bleaching that is commonly used today. Dr. Mabrito practiced inlay and onlay procedures before this method became popular and utilizes the half crown for increased tooth preservation. Dr. Mabrito also holds a patent for ClearMatch® Shade Analyzing Software, a tooth shade analysis system, and was involved in the early development of veneers.

Author & Lecturer

Known as an author and lecturer, Dr. Mabrito educates the public and fellow colleagues about new technologies, practices, and improvements in cosmetic dentistry. He has lectured internationally and authored papers on esthetic, restorative, and reconstructive dentistry. He has co-founded a publication that is read worldwide in the field of esthetic restorative dentistry and authored the first article.

Education

Dr. Mabrito received his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston in 1973. He then served as a clinical dentist in the United States Air Force prior to beginning his private practice in Houston. He taught at the University of Colorado and University of Texas Dental Schools. Dr. Mabrito continues his education monthly through study clubs and online.

Dr. Ximena Camacho

Dr. Ximena Camacho graduated with honors from the University of Houston in 2008 with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2014 from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, her pursuit for excellence has led her to be an avid believer in continuing education. Dr. Camacho has completed over 100 hours of specialized training from Spear Education focused on cosmetic dentistry, dental sleep medicine, and full mouth rehabilitation. She currently attends their monthly study club seminars where she discusses cases with colleagues and other specialists. 

In addition to general dentistry services such as fillings, crowns, and cleanings, she also offers orthodontic and implant services. Dr. Camacho’s philosophy revolves around building relationships with her patients to understand their treatment goals and expectations. She hopes to provide each patient with a personalized treatment plan and deliver it with the upmost expertise and care. Her patients appreciate her calm and caring demeanor, as well as her eagerness to achieve perfection. 

As a child growing up in an underserved Hispanic community in Bogota, Colombia, Dr. Camacho feels passionately about volunteering and educating those communities with limited access to routine dental care. Currently, she serves on the board of directors for the Houston Hispanic Dental Association, an organization focused on helping underprivileged Hispanic communities get access to dental care.

Tina Khalil

Office Manager

Tina was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Texas and attended Ohio State University. She has been in the dental field for over 9 years and joins our team bringing many years of leadership and management experience. She and her husband Michael have been married for 29 years, have four grown children, and lives here in the Galleria area. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her
family, being outside and is an animal lover.

Kim Vincent

Treatment Coordinator

Kim has been with Mabrito Dental since June of 2014. Prior to joining our team, she had 30 + years experience in dentistry. She was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida.

Jaymee Salinas

Treatment and Financial Coordinator

Jaymee is our insurance expert always ready to help with your questions or concerns. She began her dental career over 20 years ago as a registered dental assistant in Atlanta, Georgia. She joined Mabrito Dental in 2018 and has been working alongside Dr. Camacho since 2014. She is dedicated to helping patients with every step of their dental visit from making patients feel comfortable, scheduling their appointments, to understanding the financial aspect of their treatment and dental insurance. She takes pleasure in getting to know each and every one of her patients and building long-term relationships with them. When she is not working her two teenage sons keep her busy.

Nicole Cuevas

Registered Dental Hygienist

Born and raised in the great city of Houston, Nicole and her husband have two dogs and love to travel whenever they get the chance. She has been in dentistry since 2005 starting as a dental assistant. In 2011, Nicole graduated from Wharton County Junior College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She has loved dentistry since she was a child and knew this is what she was meant to do. Nicole thoroughly enjoys taking care of and educating her patients.

Kristin Anderson

Registered Dental Hygienist

Having a passion for helping others, Kristin strives to provide each patient with the utmost and thorough dental care. She loves having the opportunity to work with patients so she can get to know them, educate them on the importance of dental hygiene, and cheer them on as they improve their dental health. Kristin is a born-and-raised Houstonian. Outside of the office, she enjoys learning about healthy ways of living, spending time outdoors, walking her dog Lucy and enjoying the company of family and friends.

Lilly Espino

Registered Dental Assistant

Lilly has been Dr. Mabrito’s assistant since June 2008. She specializes in Digital Smile Design, Trial Smile and is our whitening expert. Lilly loves photography and technology and has made significant strides in combining the two at Mabrito Dental. At your next appointment, ask her how you can try on the smile of your dreams!

 

Mina Hanusic

Registered Dental Assistant

Mina has been Dr. Mabrito’s dental assistant since March of 2012. She came to Mabrito Dental with almost 15 years experience as a Certified Dental Assistant. She was born and spent her childhood in Croatia , then lived and worked as a dental assistant in Germany. She and her husband moved to Houston in August of 1999.

Nikki Thapa

Registered Dental Assistant

Her passion for dentistry started at a young age, while undergoing dental procedures herself. Getting to help people and seeing the smiles on their faces after treatment is truly rewarding for her. She constantly pushes herself to master new techniques and procedures and hopes to one day become a registered dental hygienist.

Siomara Rubio

Dental Assistant

Sio grew up in El Salvador and moved to Houston in 1995. She graduated from Astrodome Dental as a Certified Dental Assistant in 2004. In her spare time, she likes to travel, shop and spend time with her parrot “Thai”.

Carmen Elizondo

Registered Dental Assistant

With over 5 years of experience, Carmen works to make sure that every patient receives the highest level of patient care possible throughout their consultations, procedures, and recovery. She enjoys the level of patient care we provide to each and every patient at our office and the teamwork that exists with her co-workers. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her son and visiting family in her native Mexico.
